Light in Dark Places

We are preparing to print, donate and deliver these pocket-size devotionals  (in various translations) to waiting churches, ministries, and outreach programs located in conflict regions across the globe. Containing Scripture along with corresponding quotes of authors from the early Apostolic Church era, these have proven to be an effective way to introduce fundamentals of the faith to a non-believer, in a way that is safer (to deliver), less intimidating and more discreet than by Bible or tract. (Especially useful for outreach in areas where a Bible would be confiscated and destroyed.)

For striving Christians, these aids help to edify their faith. Already we have been receiving feedback from some recipients in various locations, who report that these have strengthened their walk by encouraging their daily devotional life with something so discreet and pocket sized. Recipients have stated that they like carrying them with them to work, and that they’ve stimulated opportunities for sharing their faith with others who ask of them.

If you would like to support this endeavor by helping to cover the cost of print, shipment and delivery of these books - please visit ApostolicFaithBook.com  to place an order or make a donation.

Taking Root

Thank you for the prayers and support that helped sustain, nurture, and grow these projects around the world. It's a sadness to the soul to encounter situations in which you're personally powerless to intercede; yet a reminder of the responsibility for prayer - the one intercession we are most capable of. This new year began with two newly planted outreach projects in target areas where drug abuse, sex crimes and child trafficking an explicit reality (as is in many areas of the world).

Working with various regional volunteers, we have seeded a program whereby local pastors, Sisters of mercy, and other directors visit some of these camps and minister to the children and families through food distribution, prayer, clothes & blankets, and (in certain locations) a basic education program. It is our earnest hope that these efforts will bear fruits for the lives and future of these families, and -most of all- impress the knowledge of  God's love for them.

Outreach programs in Lebanon and Syria.

Miles away from the horrors of the Syrian war stands refuges of hope in the name of God's love. We visited and documented one such refuge as we accompanied this ministry over the course of several days. While we gathered some heartfelt stories and awe-inspiring testimonies, we will only be sharing them in person and for those supporters who are connected to this ministry.

If you would like to see and hear this GOOD NEWS, feel free to invite us to speak to your church, youth group, Sunday school, or other private event and share our presentation.

Seeking Sanctuary: at Your Door.

"They were strangers, but they were family, because they had already become a part of our hearts -because we were praying and waiting and thinking about those families." -Lyn Carlson of Lancaster Mennonite School & Forest Hills Mennonite Church

For the folks at Forest Hills Mennonite Church in Lancaster, Pennsylvania,- to just hear about the terrible suffering in Syria and then to "not do anything" was not good enough. After some prayerful & heartfelt consideration, they reached out to Church World Service to learn how they could be of help. Soon after, they found themselves as literal ambassadors of Jesus as they welcomed a refugee family (from Aleppo, Syria) into their church. With nothing but Christlike embrace, they began a new journey together with this family.

Watch this video to hear their story, and to be ENCOURAGED by the GOOD NEWS of how God is touching lives through His body of believers in the US.
